Francois Roche, from Marseille France, made his third trip to the saloon in September. Everyone was glad to see him and all the locals knew who he was as soon as they saw him.
Being the music fan he is, Francois soon found the piano and began to strike the ivory keys and a crowd quickly gathered around him.
While in this neck of the woods Francois made a few side trips to see some American Indian sites, which he is very interested in. He went to Poverty Point in Delhi, Louisiana and Marksville, Louisiana. Both of these areas had a large Indian settlement in ancient times.
Francois also made a trip to New Orleans to see what Hurricane Katrina did to the Big Easy. On his return to Natchez he told us the city is coming back, but it will take a long time to recover. |
